Here is a Great Resource: Indiana University Creole Institute Led by Albert Valdman

The Creole Institute at Indiana University, led by founder Albert Valdman, is the only U.S. institute that is recognized to deal with linguistic and other educational problems in Haiti.  We must give credit to Albert Valdman for his research and book on Haitian Creole, titled, Ann Pale Kreyol.  He has gone where many of his contemporaries refused to go.  He is somebody who knows what he is talking about.  Check out the Creole Institute at Indiana University here.  He also authored two other books:  Le créole: structure, statut et origine (1978) and Le français hors de France (1979).
